Hi, I'm Andrew. I want to show you how to transform the challenges in your life into stepping stones.
In this review, I will begin with my own website, but as the weeks roll on I will be exploring some of the many great websites that host audio hypnosis material.
Whether you want to...
- lose some weight, a bad habit like smoking, or self-critical thinking
- overcome procrastination, anxiety, or depression
- improve your sleeping, relationship, or work performance...
... you are always stronger when you can stand on top of your obstacle. Sometimes, the only direction you can go, is up :)
You will also find out how to
- define your life's purpose
- feel passionate about who you are, and what you are here to do
- be happy, peaceful, and successful in all areas of your life
- be more positive every day by choosing which thoughts to entertain, and which thoughts to ignore
.
.
Why Hypnotherapy?
- Unprocessed problems, create
- subconscious defence mechanisms, which become
- negative beliefs about your self, and that leads to
- self-sabotaging behaviour and more problems.
- Hypnotherapy processes the problem, by
- training you to think and act positively and constructively, and
- re-enforcing your positive belief in yourself, and that leads to
- successful behaviour, self confidence, and happiness.

Why is hypnotherapy not included in the syllabus at medical schools and institutions?
Pharmacology is an extremely lucrative industry. Over the last century, it has completely overwhelmed the global medical profession, the Food and Drug Administration, (FDA) and the American Medical Association, (AMA) to the point where even common sense is abandoned in favour of pharmaceutical products. The approved treatment of cancer, for example, actually causes cancer.
.
No company can profit from a private practice, unless there are products involved which the company supplies. One has only to look at the profits of pharmaceutical giants to see that they are clearly campaigning for a monopoly on healing - and since the corporate takeover of the medical schools in the early 1900s, AMA and FDA decisions always favour pharmaceutical products, and denounce natural medicine.
.
Can you believe that our entire global health care system is in the hands of a few selfish, childish business owners, who are more interested in competing for profit than in helping people get well?
.
Medical = for your Body
Hypnosis = for your Mind
.
The simple truth is we need both:
- Gun shot wounds and car accidents need an ICU, fully equipped with every pharmaceutical product necessary to anaesthetise, disinfect, control blood pressure, sugar levels - and brilliant surgeons who got above 98% for all their exams - we need them.
- Post traumatic stress, panic attacks, and severe depression need a Hypnotherapist, fully trained to handle every kind of psycho-emotional problem by finding out what that person wants in life, and helping them by providing a safe environment to rehearse their real life situation remaining calm, positive, and focussed on doing what needs to be done.
Psychiatric medication can help to neutralise your emotional state, like an anaesthetic. It is essential to do the emotional healing work as well as medication, to achieve actual long term healing. Hypnotherapy is the fastest, surest way to heal and get back on your feet.

Does Hypnosis Work?
Two things are important when evaluating the effectiveness of hypnosis:
- Your expectation
- The skill level of the Hypnotherapist
.
There is very little common knowledge about hypnosis, because it is not part of the main stream curriculum of medicine or psychology. However, like so many modalities sidelined by corporate medicine, Hypnotherapy remains an extremely effective method of personal transformation and emotional healing.

Your Expectation
Most people have expectations of magic, being a puppet on a string, swirling lights, turning into a chicken, or losing their minds. The reality is: hypnosis is the same state as meditation. The electroencephalogram (EEG) measures brain activity, and has been used in countless scientific tests and studies, observing brain activity in hypnosis.
.
.
Despite the implication, slow brain activity is not a sign of slow intelligence, but of relaxation. The slower your brain rate, the more relaxed you are. Hypnosis is most commonly observed between 4 and 10 Hz, ranging from Theta state, when the subject is very deep, to Alpha, a state of higher activity also associated with dreaming.
Reality:
- Hypnosis is a heightened state of learning
- You can hear sounds around you
- You can hear the Hypnotherapist's voice
- You can not be hypnotised to do anything which is against your nature
- You can feel deeply relaxed and calm
- You can find it easier than usual to let go of your thoughts and just be
- If you go to a properly qualified Hypnotherapist, you can not become stuck in hypnosis
.
.
The skill level of the Hypnotherapist
Your Hypnotherapist should have the skill to hypnotise you, even if you find it difficult to let go in the beginning. The way you go into hypnosis is exclusive to you, and everyone goes in differently. Some people take 30 minutes to be hypnotised, others are deep in hypnosis within a few seconds. It's up to your Hypnotherapist to find your way into this state, and guide you to go deeper.
A sure way of knowing how deep you are, is your rapid eye movement (REM). A skilled Hypnotherapist can see how deep you are by the way your eyes move under your lids.
Neuro-Linguistics
translation: brain-words
One of the essential skills of a good Hypnotherapist is an understanding of the words your brain responds to - also called neurolinguistic patterns, or suggestibility. An entire school of hypnosis is devoted entirely to this study - Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). As part of your self hypnosis training, which includes how to write affirmations in your own personal subconscious language, you will discover what your personal suggestibility is, and how that programs the way you communicate with people.

NBSR in Practice - Neuro-Behavioural Sound Reprogramming
.
Drawing from my Yoga Teacher training, I use a sound that is specific to a Chakra to activate the subconscious healing process in that area. This technique originated in Tibet, with their singing bowels. Each singing bowel is tuned to an exact note, and that sound causes the Chakra in the body to reverberate. The practice of using a certain sound to "tune" a Chakra back to it's natural frequency, can be found all over the ancient world. Emotionally, "tuning your vibration to a harmonious frequency" is the same as healing. The modern discover in neuro-science of the Frequency-Following Response, is simply proving how accurate those ancient healing methods are.
